The All Saints’ Anglican Church (ASAC) Welfare Ministry was approved by the Church Vestry in June, 2019. The Vestry appointed Dr. Clifford C. Iroanya as Chairman of the Ministry. On the 28th of July 2019, the Ministry was commissioned, during a corporate service, by His Lordship, The Rt. Revd. Aloysius Eze Agbo (JP), the Bishop of Nsukka Diocese. The Rector of ASAC, Ven. Dr. Ugochukwu Okoroafor, is the supervising Chaplain of the Ministry.

The key objective of the Ministry is to keep in touch with members of the church in terms of their individual needs and in providing information that would be beneficial to them and their families.

The Ministry sets out to achieve the following:

  • Follow-up on new/visiting members of the church
  • Follow-up on old members who have been absent from church services/events for a long time
  • Follow-up on bereaved members
  • Follow-up on families with new-born babies
  • Provide information that would help members looking for jobs
  • Assist with information to members who recently relocated to Houston
  • Support other groups and Ministries in reaching out to their members
  • Carry out other assignments bestowed on it by the supervising Chaplain or his designates
